On 12th September 2025, our Managing Directors, Jack and John, will attempt the 24-hour UK 3 peaks challenge in aid of Playskill, a charity supporting children with physical delays and disabilities, and their families, in Hertfordshire.
Helping hundreds of children and families since 2006, Playskill supports children up to age five with physical disabilities and delays in Hertfordshire to develop their communication, movement and key life skills. The charity provides free therapeutic play sessions, alongside training, advice, support and events for families.
At the weekly specialist playgroups in Watford and Hemel Hempstead, Playskill provides physiotherapy, occupational and speech and language therapy tailored to the child’s needs. Each group session uses play as a tool for development – while the children are having fun, they are also learning to stand, eat, walk, communicate, feed and dress themselves. Playskill also offers specialist training and one to one support for parents as they navigate health, education & financial services. Plus access to an all-important support network of parents and carers, including social events for parents, siblings and together as a family.
The only charity of its kind in Hertfordshire, and one of only a few in the country, Playskill steps in during the crucial early intervention window (up to age five) when the brain is developing faster than at any other time.
Playskill is free to families. The Charity receives no Government funding and relies wholly on donations to provide its vital service.
By sponsoring our Three Peaks Challenge, see how your donation could provide, support and fund Playskill and the great work they do.
Could sponsor a family to attend Playskill for one term, including attending our specialist playgroups, attending our respite and social events, and accessing our tailored family training programme and support.
Could provide specialist equipment such as standing frames, specialist seating systems, as well as a toy library which allows families to borrow toys to continue play therapy at home.
Could fund the respite and social event programme for the year, allowing families the opportunity to meet others, form peer support networks and friendships and receive some much-needed respite.
